Las Vegas’ Popular Casino The Venetian Expands Its Poker Room and Adds 15 More Poker Tables

The popular The Venetian casino resort in Las Vegas decided to upgrade its operations and expand the casino’s poker room. As the casino industry is growing rapidly and new technologies and modern twists on old traditions appear almost on a daily basis, the Venetian decided to take its fate into its own hands and set new limits when it comes to the modern poker industry, so the expansion of the poker room came as a natural solution.

New place for new poker room:

After the works are finished, The Venetian’s poker room will be moved to the second floor of the Grand Canal Shoppes. Grand Canal Shoppes is a shopping district of Palazzo, the sister property of The Venetian.

According to casino officials, the change is scheduled for the upcoming summer.

The new poker room will feature 50 tables, which is 15 more than it currently operates, and it will expand across 14.000 square feet.

More additional amenities will be incorporated into the new poker room. However, the casino officials wanted to hear the feedback of the customers before they began with the action since they wanted to make the space as useful and valuable to its loyal customers as possible.

After years of collecting data and feedback from customers, the officials decided to include dedicated bathrooms, an extravagant Coca-Cola soda fountain that will work as self-serve, as well as charging ports that will be available at every seat.

On top of that, the customers will be able to place online orders directly to the seats. When it comes to the casino amenities, the players will be able to enjoy a vast sports betting offering, as well as loyalty kiosks.

Different look and new services:

A Review Journal reports that Tommy LaRosa, a Director of Poker Operations at the casino, said: “It’s going to be a completely different look and a completely different feel. It’s going to be modern, it’s going to be clean, and it’s just going to be unique. It’s going to be a one-of-a-kind space.”

According to LaRosa, the players will be able to more easily access the poker room, directly from the shopping district. On top of that, the room won’t be connected to the gaming floor so the customers won’t be obligated to listen to the noise and inhale the smoke from the floor.

A new room will also feature a streaming room, so the players will be able to have coordinated vlogging sessions. The room will feature streams of final tables in the popular DeepStack tournament series and cash games.

LaRosa commented on this: “What these streams can do is welcome people, make them feel comfortable, and make them want to get out and try it right. That’s what we hope — that they see the Venetian poker room as part of those vlogs, that they want to experience exactly what those vloggers are doing, and be a part of a part of what we’re offering here at The Venetian.”

The current poker room, which has been open since 2006, will remain active until the new one is finished. However, the exact date of opening is still unknown. Among the details that haven’t been released yet is a price of expansion and renovation as well.
